We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Health and Safety Coordinator to join our team at Stateside Foods.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will provide administrative support to our Health, Safety, and Sustainability department, ensuring the highest standards of quality and health and safety are achieved.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Deputy Health and Safety Manager with administration duties, including inputting departmental KPIs and producing reports.
  • Review and communicate Site Action Plans and near misses.
  • Assist with the administration of site accidents and incidents.
  • Complete the Freiberger Report for absence and lost time.
  • Produce posters and update site noticeboards.
  • Review and update First Aider posters.
  • Assist with departmental site inspections and First Aid Room inspections.
  • Assist with lighting inspections and Fire Evacuation Tests.
  • Assist with auditing Harness, Spill Kit, and Ladder inspections.
  • Organize and administer Occupational Health assessments.
  • Update various risk assessments.
  • Provide support in projects, new buildings, and new machinery programs.
  • Raise purchase orders and place orders with suppliers.
  • Assist with Health and Safety strategic projects.
  • Support Sustainability administration duties, including inputting departmental KPIs and processing invoices.
  • Maintain accurate data on energy and water services.
  • Assist with internal and external audits and company reports.
  • Attend meetings as necessary.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Excellent computer skills and experience with Excel and Word.
  • Effective written and verbal communication.
  • High numeracy skills.
  • A keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent telephone manner.
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation and requirements.
