Job Title: Children's Home Deputy Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at Polaris Community. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of our residential care service.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the Registered Manager in the management of the care home, including supervising staff and ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained.
  • Developing and implementing care plans for young people, ensuring their individual needs are met and their rights are respected.
  • Managing budgets and staff rotas, ensuring the smooth operation of the care home.
  • Providing leadership and guidance to staff, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, including Ofsted and the Children's Homes Regulations 2015.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 2 years' experience in residential childcare, with a Level 3 Diploma in the Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent.
  • Excellent leadership and staff supervision skills, with the ability to motivate and support staff.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with young people, staff, and external agencies.
  • Ability to manage budgets and staff rotas, with a focus on efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Commitment to ongoing personal development, with a desire to learn and improve.
