We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Ward Manager to lead our team at Hafod Y Wennol, a 6-bed locked assessment and rehabilitation unit. The successful candidate will have a strong background in learning disability and mental health nursing, with experience in managing a team and implementing clinical pathways.
Main Responsibilities:- Lead and develop the core nursing establishment in the delivery of compassionate, high-quality, effective, patient-centred nursing care.
- Implement operational policies and processes associated with the unit, ensuring clinical pathways are maintained.
- Supervise staff and ensure compliance with mandatory training.
- Exercise 24-hour accountability for the management of the ward, including rostering staff to ensure effective skill mix and staffing levels.
- Registered Nurse Learning Disability or Mental Health Qualification.
- Degree qualification in a relevant field of practice.
- Masters Qualification.
- Relevant experience working with people with learning disability and mental health issues.
- Evidence of coordinating and managing a team of staff.
- Evidence of finance resource management.
- Ability to speak Welsh.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
