About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bid Manager to join our team at Macgregor Black. As a key member of our Sales function, you will be responsible for driving commercial performance and contributing to the success of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Bid Development: Lead the end-to-end process of writing and submitting bids, proposals, and tenders for educational opportunities, ensuring that all submissions are of the highest quality and meet the required standards.
  • Research: Conduct thorough research to identify potential funding opportunities, understand requirements, and gather relevant data and information to support bid submissions, staying up-to-date on trends, policies, and best practices in the education sector.
  • Content Creation: Write clear, concise, and compelling bid responses that effectively address the criteria and requirements of funders and awarding bodies, showcasing your expertise and knowledge of the education sector.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple bids simultaneously, ensuring that all deadlines are met and that the submission process is organized and efficient, utilizing your strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Compliance: Ensure all bids comply with the relevant guidelines, standards, and criteria specified by funders, including legal and financial regulations, maintaining a high standard of quality and attention to detail.
  • Editing and Review: Edit and proofread bid documents to ensure accuracy, consistency, and clarity, maintaining a high standard of quality and attention to detail.
  • Reporting: Track the progress and outcomes of submitted bids, providing regular updates and reports to senior management on success rates and lessons learned, utilizing your analytical and numerical skills.
Requirements
  • Excellent writing and editing skills with attention to detail that aligns to tender processes.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to stay up-to-date on trends, policies, and best practices in the education sector.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of the education sector, including funding mechanisms and policy trends.
