About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Team Manager to join our Adolescent Forensic Mental Health Service. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing clinical, management, and professional leadership to support the delivery of high-quality care to young people in our Secure Children's Homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership to the multidisciplinary team, ensuring the delivery of evidence-based practice and high-quality care.
  • Manage and develop the team, including staff supervision, performance management, and training.
  • Develop and implement service plans, ensuring effective partnership working with external agencies and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to develop and implement strategic plans, ensuring the service meets the needs of our young people and their families.
Requirements
  • First-level registered nurse (RNMH, RMN, RNLD, or equivalent) or social worker qualification.
  • Relevant postgraduate qualification or training in leadership and management.
  • Experience of coordinating and managing staff resources, including staff supervision and performance management.
  • Experience of working within a multidisciplinary team, using a community-based approach.
  • Experience of providing community-based mental health services.
  • Experience of leading teams and taking on a leadership role in project management.
  • Commitment to partnership working, both multi-agency and multi-disciplinary.
Desirable Skills and Competencies
  • Awareness of human resource issues and budget management.
  • Experience of performance management and staff development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including negotiation and conflict management.
  • Knowledge of RiO data systems and IT skills.
