Support Young Carers to Thrive

We are seeking an experienced Young Carers Practitioner to join our dynamic team at The Children's Society. This role will involve providing holistic support to young carers in Camden and Islington, including one-to-one assessments, plans, and interventions to help them thrive and reduce the impact of caring responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain relationships with young people, communities, and partners to deliver culturally sensitive, therapeutic, and holistic support.
  • Conduct child-centred assessments and plans to identify and address the needs of young carers.
  • Deliver training and awareness-raising sessions to relevant professionals to promote understanding and support for young carers.
  • Provide specialist help and support to young carers and their families as needed.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge and awareness of national and local initiatives to support young carers and their families.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including telephone skills.
  • Good level of IT skills to manage clinical record keeping.
