As part of the School of Advanced Study, the Institute of Philosophy is dedicated to fostering and facilitating high-caliber research in philosophy, ensuring its accessibility to a broad audience both within and beyond academia, while also advocating for the UK's philosophy community on a national level.

The Role

Institute Operations Manager for the Institute of Philosophy

The Institute Operations Manager plays a crucial role in the strategic planning and execution of the Institute of Philosophy's objectives. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Director to implement the Institute's varied initiatives aimed at promoting and supporting the UK Philosophy community. Responsibilities encompass, but are not limited to, organizing academic events, providing research support, managing fellowships, engaging the public, and facilitating knowledge exchange.

The incumbent will oversee the Institute's financial operations, reporting directly to the Institute Director and the SAS Director of Operations. Additionally, the role includes leading the documentation and reporting of the Institute's operational activities and managing communications with stakeholders.

The University currently employs a Hybrid Working model, which involves a combination of remote and in-office work.
