**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Health Physics Technical Supervisor to join our team at AWE. As a Health Physics Technical Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our team and the public. You will be responsible for providing technical advice and support to the business, maintaining and promoting high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security, and quality, and being a great team player.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Provide a nuclear and environment baseline role as specified under AWE's LC36 arrangements for Health Physics covering Radiation Protection and Nuclear emergency response.
* Ensure minimum manning numbers are maintained within the facilities at all times in accordance with safe operating envelopes (SOE's) and facility emergency plans (FERP's).
* The health and safety of the Health Physics team.
* Provide technical advice and support to the business, as required.
* Maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security, and quality and be a great team player.
* Act as authorised source inventory holder as required under the ASIH requirements.
* Ensure compliance with IRR's and other regulatory boundaries at all times.
* Remain competent to carry out baseline role and minimum manning as part of LC11, safe operating envelope (SOE's) and facility emergency response plans (FERP's).
* Ensure that company strategies, policies, and management systems on radiation protection are effectively communicated and understood to the surveyor teams.
* The completion of regulatory requirements such as routine survey and air sample programmes within their Tech centre.
* To provide staff utilisation feedback and performance to team leaders.
