We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to oversee the Health Physics team and ensure the safe management of radiological risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely manage and support the Health Physics team to maintain radiological oversight and control of assigned buildings.
  • Supervise and assist with decommissioning activities, including entries into areas with RPE.
  • Perform Health Physics surveys and maintain survey equipment.
  • Direct and supervise Health Physics surveyors and monitors.
  • Ensure Health Physics Clearance of items removed from controlled areas.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • City and Guilds level 1 radiological protection
  • Proven surveying experience, ideally with air fed suit operations.
  • Proven knowledge of Radiological Protection, Decommissioning activities and radioactive waste management.
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to a changing work environment.
  • IOSH Managing Safely desirable.
