About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Mental Health and Wellbeing Assistant to join our team at EdEx. As a Mental Health and Wellbeing Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the emotional and mental wellbeing of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mentor students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) requirements, and Safeguarding needs.
  • Develop strong relationships with pupils, Work Experience Placements, Learning Skills Centre, and Colleges Links.
  • Plan and run group sessions and 1:1 sessions addressing the needs of the students.

Requirements:

  • A graduate with an interest in SEMH or SEN, or non-graduates with mentoring or counselling experience.
  • Previous experience or a passion for working with young people to make a positive impact on their lives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust.
  • Hardworking, resilient, and positive.
