Salary: £105-£115 per day

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Mental Health and Wellbeing Assistant to join our team at EdEx. The successful candidate will work closely with the SEND, Pastoral, and Safeguarding teams to provide support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mentor students with SEN and SEMH requirements to develop their skills and confidence
  • Build strong relationships with pupils to create a safe and supportive learning environment
  • Plan and deliver group sessions and one-to-one sessions to address the needs of students
  • Work collaboratively with the school's Counsellors, Therapists, and Psychologists to provide comprehensive support

Requirements:

  • Graduate with an interest in SEMH or SEN, or non-graduate with mentoring or counselling experience
  • Previous experience or a passion for working with young people to make a positive impact on their lives
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with students and staff
  • Hardworking, resilient, and positive attitude
