Senior Mobile Quality Assurance Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated professional to temporarily fill the role of Senior Mobile Quality Assurance Engineer within our mobile applications development team. Reporting directly to the Lead QA Engineer, the ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to quality assurance and will strive to uphold high standards across all Immediate digital offerings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the integrity and quality of product modifications.
  • Represent QA in all team meetings and ceremonies.
  • Serve as a QA mentor, guiding the development team towards enhanced quality practices.
  • Conduct thorough functional, non-functional, and regression testing.
  • Promptly communicate and manage bug resolutions.
  • Engage in exploratory testing to broaden test coverage and uncover defects.
  • Collaborate with fellow QA engineers to establish best practices and standards.
  • Work alongside team members, Product Managers, and Delivery Managers to strategize new features and enhancements.
  • Build strong relationships with a diverse team of colleagues.

Essential Qualifications

  • Proven experience in an agile development environment.
  • In-depth understanding of the software development lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with methodologies such as Behaviour Driven Development and Risk Based Analysis.
  • Extensive mobile application testing experience on both iOS and Android platforms.
  • Proficient in logging and reporting issues using Jira or similar tools.
  • Experience managing the release process.
  • Knowledge of accessibility testing standards.
  • Experience with at least one JavaScript test automation tool for mobile applications.
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and continuous testing principles.
  • Familiarity with Source Control Management tools like Git.
  • API testing experience using tools like Postman.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • A proactive learner, eager to enhance personal and team skills.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience with testing React Native applications.
  • Familiarity with Bitrise or CodePush.
  • Experience using cloud-based testing platforms.
  • Knowledge of automated API testing.
  • Experience in performance testing.
  • ISTQB foundation level certification or equivalent.
