This position is a full-time role based in a correctional facility/office. Options for compressed hours on a 4-day work week or a 9-day fortnight may be available if appropriate. This is not a hybrid or remote position.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Offender Management Unit (OMU) at HMP Thameside, the only OMU in the country operated by a third sector organization since its inception in 2012. Following a recent inspection by the prison authority, the service was described as the most exemplary provision observed in the past year.
We are looking for a motivated individual who is dedicated to best practices and is passionate about making a positive impact on individuals' lives. In this role, you will be part of a high-performing Offender Management Service tasked with identifying, assessing, addressing, and mitigating risks associated with sentenced individuals, while also encouraging them to engage constructively within the custodial environment.

What does success look like in this role?
Knowledge and Skills:
- Awareness of the factors influencing criminal behavior.
- Understanding of rehabilitation principles.
- Knowledge of maintaining professional boundaries when working with vulnerable populations.
Essential Qualifications:
- Ability to effectively manage a caseload and collaborate with various agencies.
- Capacity to thrive in high-pressure situations and adapt to change.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly in documentation and meeting deadlines.
- Willingness to pursue additional training and professional development.
Additional Information
- Salary: up to £31,582
- Working Hours: 38 hours per week
