Our client, Robert Walters Direct Sourcing EMEA, a prominent player in the financial services sector with a comprehensive network across numerous countries, is in search of a skilled Indirect Tax Manager.

This position provides the chance to collaborate with a team of tax specialists within the EMEA Group Tax division, ensuring adherence to all relevant tax regulations across various jurisdictions.

The ideal candidate will leverage their tax expertise and analytical skills in advisory roles, delivering strategic guidance to the investment banking and global markets sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
As an Indirect Tax Manager at Robert Walters, your role will encompass a variety of responsibilities.

You will provide expert guidance and support on all indirect tax issues related to products, transactions, and business operations.

Your expertise will be vital in negotiating a revised partial exemption method for VAT compliance. You will also coordinate with advisors across different jurisdictions to ensure all compliance requirements are fulfilled. Furthermore, you will review and authorize indirect tax implications for all new product and structural transaction proposals.

Your responsibilities will also include advising on indirect tax cost reduction strategies and overseeing the preparation of annual adjustments and compliance obligations.


  • Deliver expert guidance on all indirect tax matters related to products and transactions
  • Negotiate VAT compliance strategies
  • Collaborate with advisors to meet compliance obligations

Candidate Profile:
The successful candidate for the Indirect Tax Manager role at Robert Walters will possess extensive experience in indirect tax. They will have a solid understanding of investment banking and financial products, supported by relevant professional qualifications such as ACA or CTA. A commercially aware mindset coupled with a strong analytical approach is essential.
