About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Community Support Worker to join our Rapid Response Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals in mental health crisis, working closely with mental health professionals to provide person-centered interventions and assessments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive the mental health vehicle to locations required for interventions
  • Provide basic first aid if required and assist the mental health professional with administrative tasks
  • Support carers and loved ones at scene, enabling the Rapid Response practitioner to focus on their assessment/intervention
  • Assist the Rapid Response Practitioner with data entry, care note requirements, and clinical entries
  • Contribute to improving access to supportive services for individuals in mental health crisis

Requirements
  • Full driving license and willingness to drive across the Trust site in the mental health vehicle provided
  • Experience working with people with mental health needs or difficulties in a paid or voluntary capacity
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to relate information to people on routine and operational matters
  • Ability to deal with conflicting demands and prioritize workload with support
  • Basic computer skills to collect, collate, and record information and data
Desirable Qualifications
  • Healthcare or relevant NVQ Level 3
  • Basic First Aid knowledge
  • Lived experience of mental health issues/difficulties
