Job Title: VAT Specialist at RSM
About the role:
- As a key member of the RSM team, you will provide high-quality VAT technical advice and solutions to both external and internal clients, working closely with the VAT Partners and Directors.
- Opportunity to join a dynamic team, working on a hybrid basis, balancing work from home and in the office, and contributing to the growth of the company.
Responsibilities:
- Acting as the main point of contact for clients, providing premium customer service and ensuring their needs are met.
- Offering VAT consultancy services to clients regarding indirect taxes, including tax planning and compliance.
- Supervising junior VAT team members, providing training and support to help them develop their skills and expertise.
- Ensuring quality and compliance with professional standards, maintaining the highest level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Developing technical knowledge and staying informed about specialist services, including industry trends and best practices.
- Maintaining awareness of Health and Safety issues and ensuring a safe working environment.
About the ideal candidate:
- Demonstrated experience in VAT planning and handling VAT inquiries, with a strong understanding of tax laws and regulations.
- CTA qualification is a plus, but not required.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex tax concepts to clients and colleagues.
- Proven client management experience and ability to handle a busy portfolio, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
