We are seeking a Claims Specialist to become part of our team. We offer a competitive base salary of up to £25,000, commensurate with experience. This position is hybrid, allowing for a combination of in-office and remote work.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Assessing and confirming the eligibility of Group Protection Death in Service and Critical Illness claims in accordance with policy stipulations
- Calculating the benefits payable for eligible claims
- Processing and authorizing payments for both new and existing claims
- Collecting and organizing outstanding claim documentation from internal and external stakeholders promptly
- Building and nurturing strong relationships with Independent Financial Advisors (IFAs) and Policyholders (employers) to ensure positive customer experiences
- Contributing to our continuous improvement initiatives by sharing ideas and participating in projects
- Maintaining a consistent, timely, and accurate service level in alignment with service level agreements, ensuring we meet customer expectations in accordance with Legal & General's Customer Experience and Treating Customers Fairly policies
- Complying with processes and systems to ensure all customer data is handled appropriately, adhering to legislation such as GDPR, the Access to Medical Reports Act, and Legal & General's Confidentiality policy
We are looking for individuals who possess:
- Proficiency in IT, including Word, Excel, and other Microsoft applications
- Minimum GCSE qualifications in English and Maths
- Experience in customer service and/or administrative roles within the Insurance or Financial Services sectors
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
- Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
- Good problem-solving and investigative capabilities
