**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Health and Safety Advisor to join our team at Anderselite LTD. As a key member of our SHE team, you will be responsible for providing guidance and advice to the business on compliance with statutory requirements and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice to the business on health and safety matters, including risk assessments and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with operational teams to ensure that health and safety is considered at all stages of projects, and that relevant control measures are identified and implemented.
  • Assist the business in implementing and maintaining the OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 standards.
  • Conduct regular monitoring of company projects to identify areas for improvement and highlight poor practice or significant risk.
  • Investigate incidents and produce detailed reports identifying root causes and recommendations for improvement.
  • Liaise with enforcing authorities as necessary.
  • Assist in the preparation, review, and updating of policies and procedures related to health and safety.
  • Work with senior managers and directors to develop and implement divisional-level strategies for improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date with new legislation and best practices in the industry through regular reading of journals and relevant websites.

Requirements:

  • NEBOSH Construction/General Certificate (minimum)
  • NEBOSH Diploma/NVQ L5 in OHAS (desired)
  • Relevant experience working as part of a SHE team
  • Providing proactive support to operational business units
  • Up-to-date knowledge of UK legislation in relation to construction/civil engineering/highways - sector experience
