About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Staff Nurse to join our team at the East Midlands Planned Care Centre. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our elective care services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate programs of evidence-based nursing care for a group of patients.
  • Assist in and contribute to the management and organization of a ward/clinical area.
  • Actively contribute to setting and maintaining high standards of quality nursing care.
  • Actively participate in the education, development, and supervision of other staff members.
  • Work collaboratively and cooperatively with others to meet the needs of patients and their families.
  • Act as a clinical and professional role model, mentoring, assessing, and supporting students and learners on placement within the clinical area.
Requirements
  • Registered General Nursing Qualification.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
  • NMC Registration.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of professional and NHS local and national nursing strategies and priorities, including GIRFT principles.
  • Demonstrates understanding of quality and change and the importance of new ways of working.
  • Basic Knowledge of IT.
  • Demonstrates clinical expertise of a Band 5 Staff Nurse.
  • Demonstrates the ability to communicate well in a variety of settings with patients of all cultures and with differing levels of understanding.
  • Ability to make decisions and prioritize a clinical patient workload.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective interpersonal skills and relationships with colleagues across the health setting.
