Job Summary:

Agility Resourcing is seeking a highly skilled Finance and Payroll Officer to join their team. As a key member of the finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of payroll processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Payroll Processing: Monitor and check the accuracy of the monthly payroll and any payroll-related activity.
  2. Payroll Administration: Process monthly payroll information, including starters, leavers, amendments, salary sacrifice schemes, and payments and deductions.
  3. Financial Reconciliation: Post the monthly payroll to the accounting ledger and perform a reconciliation of the actual monthly payroll to the accounting ledger.
  4. Financial Reporting: Ensure the accounting ledger accurately reflects statutory and pension-related payments.
  5. Monthly Reconciliation Report: Run and submit the Monthly Reconciliation Report, identifying and rectifying errors as necessary.
  6. Local Government Pension Scheme: Run and submit the monthly Local Government Pension Scheme return, identifying and rectifying errors as necessary.
  7. Financial Analysis: Reconcile employee budgeting systems to monthly payroll, year-to-date payroll, and the ledger.
  8. Financial Support: Support the purchase ledger process, raising purchase orders, processing invoices, and generating payment runs.
  9. Ad Hoc Duties: Perform other ad hoc duties as required.

Requirements:

  1. Experience: Experience within Payroll and pension administrations.
  2. Finance Experience: Experience within Finance.
  3. Education: Grade C or upward in Maths and English.
  4. Benefits: 22 days holiday + bank holidays.
