Join the NHS Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care Board (125) team as a Finance Officer, where you will play a crucial role in supporting the Corporate Finance team in achieving their goals.
Job SummaryThe Finance Officer will be responsible for providing financial support to the Corporate Finance team, including budgeting, financial reporting, and analysis. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of financial management and accounting principles, as well as excellent communication and analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities- Support the production of monthly financial reporting, including budgeting and forecasting.
- Assist in the development and delivery of financial training programs for non-finance staff.
- Contribute to the budget setting and budgetary control process.
- Support the year-end production of the Annual Report and Accounts.
- Undertake invoice coding and checks, ensuring accurate financial coding and timely payments.
- Assist in the implementation of new financial systems and processes.
- Experience in financial management, financial accounting, and a complex financial accounting system.
- Experience in preparation and inputting of journals in the ISFE ledger.
- Experience in the production of budget statements from the ISFE ledger.
- Working knowledge of the arrangements for the processing and recording of Electronic Staff Record (ESR) amendments.
- AAT part-qualified to Level 2 or above.
- Willingness to complete the AAT qualification (Level 4) within 3 years of appointment (if currently studying at Level 2) or 2 years of appointment (if currently studying at Level 3).
- Clear communication skills and experience of delivering complex information to finance and non-finance staff.
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy working environment and achieve deadlines.
- Experience of Microsoft Office package, including complex spreadsheet modelling.
