Senior Test Engineer - Medical Devices

Your Role

In your capacity as a Senior Test Engineer, you will be pivotal in ensuring the reliability and efficacy of our medical devices and software solutions. If you are enthusiastic about harnessing technology to improve patient care on a global scale, we welcome you to join our mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to devise and execute testing strategies that comply with regulatory standards for medical devices.
  2. Conduct test cases, scripts, and data for various testing types, including functional, performance, usability, security, and reliability assessments.
  3. Engage closely with Product Owners and Developers to establish acceptance criteria and definitions of completion for both user stories and releases.
  4. Identify, document, and monitor defects, working in tandem with developers and stakeholders to resolve issues effectively.
  5. Design and implement automated testing procedures and frameworks for regression testing and continuous integration processes.
  6. Prepare and maintain comprehensive test reports, metrics, and documentation for review by management and stakeholders.
  7. Stay informed about the latest medical device testing standards, tools, frameworks, and best practices.

Essential Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing, ideally within the medical device sector or other safety-critical industries.
  3. Familiarity with medical device regulations and standards such as ISO 13485, IEC 62304, and 21 CFR 820.
  4. Proficiency in testing tools and frameworks, including Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber, and TestArchitect.
  5. Certification in software testing, such as ISTQB.
  6. Willingness to work on-site a minimum of three days per week.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience with deployed hardware systems and remote device management.
  2. Familiarity with virtualization technologies.
  3. Knowledge of video encoding and codecs, along with related tools.
  4. Experience with cloud services, particularly Amazon Web Services (AWS).
