Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Primary Intervention Specialist to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a Primary Intervention Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering targeted support to pupils who require additional help in literacy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality English intervention sessions for KS2 pupils, tailored to their specific learning needs.
- Assess pupils' progress regularly and adjust teaching strategies to meet individual goals and learning gaps.
- Provide one-to-one or small group instruction, focusing on areas such as reading fluency, comprehension, writing skills, and spelling.
- Collaborate with class teachers, the SENCO, and other support staff to ensure a cohesive approach to pupil development.
- Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to class teachers and parents as necessary.
- Create a positive and encouraging learning environment that motivates pupils and supports their confidence in literacy.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching in a primary school, ideally with a focus on English or literacy.
- Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 2 English curriculum and strategies for supporting children with varying levels of ability.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff and parents.
- A passion for helping pupils improve their literacy skills and achieve academic success.
