About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in Fort William, supporting a young man with life-changing injuries to live as independently as possible in his own home.

This is a part-time (20 hour) and bank (0 hour) position, with shifts alternating between 8am-1pm and 8am-5pm, as well as some support from 11pm-1am. A driving licence is essential, as the role would require driving the gentleman's vehicle during daily activities. For insurance purposes, candidates must be aged 25 or over.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support with personal care and moving and positioning
  • Assist with daily activities, such as cooking, medication, and finances
  • Develop and maintain a strong relationship with the individual, respecting their privacy and interests
Requirements
  • Previous experience in moving and positioning is beneficial
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills and resilience
  • Empathy, compassion, and sensitivity to others
