Workshop Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Workshop Controller to join our team at Renault UK. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our workshop, delivering exceptional customer service, and maintaining the highest standards of vehicle maintenance.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with the Service Manager and Advisors to discuss progress of workshop repairs and Technician progress.
- Allocate jobs to the correct Technician, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing downtime.
- Conduct thorough examinations of vehicles, identifying non-routine defects and additional faults, and undertake Electronic Vehicle Health Checks.
- Undertake vehicle road testing for diagnosis and to test repairs, providing accurate and timely feedback to the service team.
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer queries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Obtain authorization for additional work on vehicles, ensuring that all necessary procedures are followed.
- Develop and maintain a high level of technical competence, staying up-to-date with the latest manufacturer training and support information.
- Support the development of workshop apprentices, providing guidance and mentorship as needed.
- Franchise dealership experience with a relevant formal qualification (IMI/City & Guilds).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information to colleagues and customers accurately and concisely.
