JOB SPECIFICATION

Reports to: Head of Engineering

Contract: Full time, 40 hours per week

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00

Salary: £25,000 to £28,000 per annum (dependent on experience) in addition to uncapped commission opportunities and overtime compensation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Upgrade and maintain solar security systems for our clients across the UK.
  • Plan and execute scheduled maintenance checks and system upgrades.
  • Participate in training to stay updated on product knowledge.
  • Adhere to Health & Safety Regulations at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and third parties, taking ownership of user requests and escalating complex issues as necessary.
  • Conduct system reconfigurations and decommissions.

REQUIREMENTS (ESSENTIAL)
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar technical role.
  • Self-motivated and organized.
  • Ability to work to deadlines.
  • Logical problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
  • Quick learner with the ability to adapt to complex concepts.
  • Honest and discreet handling of confidential information.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Capability to work at height.
  • Full UK driving license with no points or pending convictions.

REQUIREMENTS (DESIRABLE)
  • Familiarity with Dahua/Ajax security systems and their products.
  • Experience in planning and installing networks.
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies and systems.
  • Understanding of configuring network switches, routers, and Wi-Fi equipment.
  • Experience in installing and configuring CCTV equipment.
  • Knowledge of various types of CCTV systems.
  • Ability to plan and coordinate network or CCTV installations.
  • Experience with alarm systems.
