Job Title: Council Tax/Business Rates Support Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Council Tax/Business Rates Support Specialist to join our team at NEC. As a key member of our Revenues and Benefits Software Support team, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance, application support, and usage advice to our customers.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical assistance and application support to customers
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Revenues and Benefits software environments
  • Understand contractual commitments with customers and ensure incidents/problems are resolved within contracted SLAs
  • Translate customer requirements to provide workarounds and fixes to a wide range of customer problems
  • Identify and develop opportunities for revenue generation through provision of additional services and solutions to customers

Requirements:

  • Extensive knowledge of Revenues and Benefits software
  • Good knowledge of Revenues Legislation, Council Tax, and Non-Domestic Rates
  • Ability to recognize and prioritize urgent calls
  • Ability to manage an issue to conclusion, coordinating the skills of additional resources, or past experience, as required
  • Experience of working for/with the Public Sector
  • Good customer relationship skills

Desirable Skills:

  • ITIL v3 Foundation certificate
  • Understanding of principles of software development within an ISO 9001 accredited environment
  • SQL Knowledge
