Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our NEC Entitlements Team as a Council Tax/Business Rates Support Consultant. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance, application support, and usage advice to our customers.

With a strong background in Revenues and Benefits software, you will be able to recognize and prioritize urgent calls, manage issues to conclusion, and coordinate the skills of additional resources as required. Your experience of working for/with the Public Sector will be invaluable in this role.

As a Council Tax and Business Rates Specialist, you will have a good knowledge of Revenues Legislation, Council Tax, and Non-Domestic Rates. You will be able to translate customer requirements into workarounds and fixes to a wide range of customer problems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical assistance, application support, and usage advice to NEC customers
  • Demonstrate good in-depth knowledge of application environments with an ability to pick up application support issues and work towards SLAs
  • Understand contractual commitments in place with customers and ensure incidents/problems are resolved within contracted SLAs
  • Translate customer requirements to provide workarounds and fixes to a wide range of customer problems
  • Identify and develop opportunities for revenue generation through provision of additional services and solutions to customers
