The Buying team at The Very Group comprises some of the brightest talents in the fashion and retail sectors, pioneering the discovery of emerging trends and products.

We are looking for a Purchasing Support Specialist focused on Own Brand Kidswear. You will collaborate closely with the Junior Buyer, providing ample opportunities to enhance your skills.

About the Role.

Your daily responsibilities will include gaining insights into the category's critical path and supply chain while providing administrative assistance to the buying department. You will manage samples and maintain the sample library effectively.

We seek a Purchasing Support Specialist who possesses experience in a similar role, has relevant buying experience, or brings transferable skills from related fields, demonstrating a robust understanding and enthusiasm for purchasing.

The essential skills and attributes for a successful candidate in this role at The Very Group include: commercial awareness, relationship-building capabilities, methodical approach, passion for the industry, strong communication skills, initiative, problem-solving abilities, data interpretation skills, and exceptional attention to detail.

About You.
  • Prior experience as a purchasing assistant or in a buyer's administrative role is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • A keen interest in fashion and kidswear.
  • Understanding of customer needs.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload effectively.
  • A positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
