Your primary duties will include:

· Directing and managing surveyors, loss adjusters, legal advisors, and experts in daily claims management, ensuring that costs and performance align with the loss.

· Collaborating with Assistant Managers and Practice Leaders to guarantee consistent and effective claims handling, adhering to AXA Group's Claim Alert procedures.

· Maintaining an organized diary system for all claims and managing static and inactive claims across the broader team as necessary.

· Supporting underwriting teams and partners with insights on claim trends, marketing strategies, and business retention efforts.

· Coordinating with Enterprise Shared Services as needed, monitoring progress, and providing guidance to uphold high standards of customer service.

· Working alongside Management and Claims Legal to select suitable legal counsel, proactively managing litigation strategies for claims while ensuring compliance with local litigation management principles.

· Assisting the Marine team with key initiatives within the product line and executing tasks within agreed timelines.

· Delivering exceptional customer service to policyholders and brokers, while continually identifying opportunities to enhance client experiences.

You will report directly to the Assistant Claims Manager, Marine.

· Competent in PC and system applications (familiarity with AXA Group systems, MS Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).

· Some experience in Marine insurance lines; a keen interest or knowledge in Marine Insurance is highly advantageous.

· A basic understanding of insurance principles, including policy liability, terms, and relevant clauses, preferably from a claims perspective, though other technical insurance experience will be considered.
