Business Development Director Opportunity

Live Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Business Development Director to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a renowned group of venues that host large-scale events and exhibitions.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for generating revenue into the venue spaces from corporate clients via incoming enquiries and identifying opportunities. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Building a sales pipeline and contributing to the department's sales strategy
  • Identifying and converting new business opportunities
  • Converting incoming enquiries for large-scale events
  • Providing bespoke solutions to meet client needs
  • Building a network and contacts within the sector
  • Working towards revenue targets to maximise profitability
  • Upselling on additional ancillary services for existing confirmed event bookings
  • Reporting on progress, account development, and sales activity

About the Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in developing business with a proactive and forward-thinking approach. They will have strong commercial acumen and be confident in building strong relationships quickly, having held a senior role within a sales environment.
