Job Summary:

The Recruitment Co. is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join their team in the Blackpool area. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including electrical installations, cable routing, and mechanical repairs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in on-the-job training to learn all aspects of the Electrical Engineering department
  • Attend health and safety and business-related courses and briefings
  • Conduct breakdown and repairs, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work
  • Install new systems, including electrical installations, cable routing, and mechanical installations
  • Control costs and ordering, including raising and checking purchase orders and obtaining quotes for work required
  • Perform administrative tasks, including preparing risk assessments, method statements, and training other team members
  • Supervise utilities, including participating in the energy management system and checking sampling equipment

Requirements:

  • Existing mechanical engineering qualification or currently working towards same
  • Working towards or has 18th edition electrical qualification
  • Effective communication skills between all levels within the business
  • Time management skills, with ability to work to set deadlines
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently
  • Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and Word proficiency
  • Working knowledge of electrics and understanding of the permit to work system
  • Driving license and clean driving record
  • CCTV knowledge and experience with PLC units
  • Knowledge of food safety and health and safety requirements
  • Ability to issue permits under the permit to work system
