Electrical Engineer

The Recruitment Co. is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join their team in the Blackpool area. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Install and maintain electrical systems and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical systems and equipment, identifying and addressing any issues or defects.
- Conduct electrical installations, cable routing, and other non-electrician work as required.
- Participate in on-the-job training and attend health and safety briefings to stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
- Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to ensure efficient and effective maintenance and repair operations.
- Assist in the preparation and implementation of risk assessments and standard operating procedures.
- Monitor and control electrical systems and equipment, identifying areas for improvement and implementing cost-saving measures.
- Relevant electrical engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
- Working knowledge of electrical systems and equipment, including installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and management.
- Time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and Word proficiency.
- Driving license and clean driving record.
- IOSH Managing Safely certification or equivalent.
- Existing mechanical engineering qualification or currently working towards same.
- Working towards or has 18th edition electrical qualification.
- Effective communication skills between all levels within the business.
- Time management - ability to work to set deadlines.
- Ability to work as part of a team and also confident/competent to work on own.
- Microsoft Office skills (Excel & Word proficient), Outlook Express (Task and Diary management).
- Working knowledge of electrics.
- Understanding of the 'Permit to work' system.
- Driving Licence (clean/current).
- CCTV Knowledge.
- IOSH Managing Safely.
- Welding and fabrication.
- Carpentry & Plumbing.
- Refrigeration knowledge.
- Knowledge of PLC units.
- Understanding of Bulgarian Language.
- Previously worked in a Food manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of food safety (Basic Hygiene).
- An understanding of health and safety requirements and implementation in the workplace.
- Training towards or achieved CIEH Level 3 Awards in Food Safety.
- Ability to issue permits under the permit to work system.
