Job Description:

The Recruitment Co. is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join their team in the Blackpool area. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Actively learn all aspects of the Electrical Engineering department
  • Participate in on-the-job training
  • Attend all H&S and business-related courses and briefings
  • Breakdown and repairs of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
  • Installation of new systems, including electrical installations, cable routing, and mechanical installations
  • Control of cost centers and ordering, including raising and checking purchase orders and obtaining quotes for work required
  • Administration tasks, including preparing and implementing risk assessments and standard operating procedures
  • Utility supervision, including participating in the energy management system and monitoring water usage and wastage
Requirements:
  • Existing mechanical engineering qualification or currently working towards same
  • Working towards or has 18th edition electrical qualification
  • Effective communication skills between all levels within the business
  • Time management skills, with ability to work to set deadlines
  • Ability to work as part of a team and also confident/competent to work on own
  • Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and Word proficiency, and Outlook Express task and diary management
  • Working knowledge of electrics and understanding of the 'Permit to work' system
  • Driving license (clean/current)
  • CCTV knowledge
  • IOSH Managing Safely
  • Welding and fabrication skills
  • Carpentry and plumbing skills
  • Refrigeration knowledge
  • Knowledge of PLC units
  • Understanding of Bulgarian language
  • Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of food safety (Basic Hygiene)
  • Understanding of health and safety requirements and implementation in the workplace
  • Training towards or achieved CIEH Level 3 Awards in Food Safety
  • Ability to issue permits under the permit to work system
Desirable Skills:
