Electrical Engineer

The Recruitment Co. is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join their team in the Blackpool area. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Install and maintain electrical systems and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical systems and equipment, identifying and addressing any issues or defects.
- Conduct electrical installations, cable routing, and other non-electrician work as required.
- Participate in on-the-job training and attend health and safety briefings to stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
- Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to ensure smooth operation of electrical systems and equipment.
- Monitor and control electrical systems and equipment, identifying areas for improvement and implementing cost-saving measures.
- Assist in the preparation and implementation of risk assessments and standard operating procedures.
- Train and mentor other maintenance team members and operational staff on electrical systems and equipment.
- 18th edition electrical qualification or equivalent.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and Word.
- Driving license and clean driving record.
- Knowledge of electrical systems and equipment, including PLC units and electrical installations.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations and industry standards.
- Ability to issue permits under the permit-to-work system.
- Existing mechanical engineering qualification or currently working towards same.
- Working knowledge of electrics, including electrical installations and cable routing.
- Understanding of the permit-to-work system and ability to issue permits.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- IOSH Managing Safely certification.
- Welding and fabrication skills.
- Carpentry and plumbing skills.
- Refrigeration knowledge.
- Knowledge of Bulgarian language.
