The Parks Medical Practice is a leading healthcare provider in Northampton, serving a combined list size of 23,000 patients across four sites. As a dispensing practice, we work closely with the Primary Care Network to deliver high-quality care to our patients.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dispenser to join our team. As a Dispenser, you will play a vital role in providing an efficient and professional service to our patients, ensuring their needs are met in a timely and high-quality manner.

Main Responsibilities

  • Dispense NHS prescriptions for our registered patients in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Handle face-to-face queries and provide excellent customer service.
  • Answer telephone calls and assist with dispensing queries.
  • Assist with ordering stock and maintaining accurate stock levels.
  • Issue repeat medications as per practice policy.
  • Follow dispensary Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at all times.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Customer Service Experience
  • Ability to adapt and be flexible in a fast-paced environment
  • Desirable: Experience of working in Primary Care, SystmOne experience, Dispensary NVQ Level 2
