Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dispensing Assistant to join our team. As a Dispensing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing an efficient and professional service to our patients, ensuring their needs are met in a timely and high-quality manner.

Main Responsibilities

  • Dispense NHS prescriptions for our registered patients in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Handle face-to-face queries and provide excellent customer service.
  • Answer telephone calls and assist with dispensing queries.
  • Assist with ordering stock and maintaining accurate stock levels.
  • Issue repeat medications as per practice policy.
  • Follow dispensary Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at all times.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Customer Service Experience
  • Ability to adapt and be flexible in a fast-paced environment
  • Desirable: Experience of working in Primary Care and SystmOne
  • Essential: GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths, Grade C or above
  • Desirable: Dispensary NVQ Level 2
