We have an opening for a permanent Cleaning Services Team Leader

This role involves 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 08:00 to 14:30 (including an unpaid break).

The cleaning services team plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness of the organization’s facilities in line with national standards and strategic cleaning initiatives.

Working closely with clinical teams and infection control, the cleaning services team ensures the cleanliness of the organization’s facilities in accordance with national standards and strategic cleaning plans.

You will lead a small team to deliver professional cleaning services in accordance with established schedules and procedures, contributing to processes that ensure standards are met. Responsibilities include maintaining staff records, ensuring rosters align with service needs, participating in staff induction and training, and completing staff development reviews.

You will also report any equipment or environmental defects and manage the replenishment of cleaning-related supplies.

In return, you will receive support, training, and guidance to enable you to perform a range of duties that support your team.

Qualifications

Essential

  • NVQ Level 1 in Housekeeping or equivalent experience
  • Ability to meet travel requirements of the role

Desirable

  • Certificates in Health and Safety and Manual Handling
  • Additional job-related training
  • NVQ Level 2 in Housekeeping

Experience

Essential

  • Previous experience in the cleaning industry

Desirable

  • Supervisory experience in the cleaning industry
  • Experience in NHS cleaning supervision would be advantageous
