Position Overview

Facility Details

Our facility is a comprehensive 60-bed hospital dedicated to providing secure mental health services tailored for both men and women. We also feature specialized services including an acute female unit and a female Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).

Adjacent to our main facility, we operate Cygnet Lodge, which provides high-dependency rehabilitation and acute services for men, thereby enhancing our patient care pathways.


Ward Information

This role is situated within the Greenacre Ward, a dedicated 18-bed male Low Secure service designed to create a safe and supportive environment for individuals with diverse needs. Our unit is part of the Kent Surrey Sussex Adult Secure Provider Collaborative, with the capacity to accept patients from various regions.


Your Role

In this capacity, your clinical expertise will be pivotal in delivering transformative treatment, supported by a dedicated full-time Specialty Doctor and a highly skilled multidisciplinary team.

Additionally, you may be invited to consider the position of Deputy Medical Director at this site, providing a pathway to advance to Medical Director through our management development programs.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Full GMC registration on the Specialist Register for Forensic Psychiatry or General Adult Psychiatry
  • MBBS (or equivalent) qualification
  • Extensive experience in Forensic or General Adult Psychiatry
  • Up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in mental health
  • Exceptional communication skills for patient assessment and documentation
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and quality improvement initiatives

Successful applicants will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
