Job Summary:

Spire Healthcare is seeking an experienced Deputy Theatre Manager to join our team on a permanent basis. As a Deputy Theatre Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our theatres, providing exceptional patient care, and supporting the theatre team in delivering high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deputise for the Theatre Manager as required, ensuring continuity of service and maintaining high standards of patient care.
  • Act as a role model to the theatre team, providing guidance, support, and coaching to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver excellent patient care.
  • Collaborate with the theatre team to develop and implement strategies to improve patient satisfaction, reduce waiting times, and enhance the overall patient experience.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Spire Healthcare's standards.
  • Work closely with the theatre team to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to optimize theatre efficiency, productivity, and patient flow.
  • Provide support and guidance to the theatre team during periods of high demand or when dealing with complex cases.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in a theatre setting, with a strong understanding of theatre operations, patient care, and team management.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and implement solutions to improve theatre efficiency and patient care.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, as required.
