Lead Researcher in Mendelian Randomization

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced researcher to lead our Mendelian Randomization program at the University of Bristol. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality research in genetic epidemiology and statistical genetics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of one of our key work packages within the program
  • Contribute to the forward vision of the program's activities
  • Develop your own independence through funding applications
  • Line management responsibilities for earlier career researchers

Requirements:

  • Extensive research experience in genetic epidemiology, statistical genetics, bioinformatics, or a related quantitative discipline
  • Firm grasp of Mendelian randomization, evidenced by a good track record of relevant publications
  • Strong statistical, data management, computational skills, and writing skills
  • Good team worker with an interest in contributing and driving larger collaborative projects
