About Ambient Support

Ambient Support is a registered UK charity with over 25 years of experience providing care and support services for older adults, individuals with mental health needs, and those with learning disabilities. Our dedicated team assists individuals with a wide range of requirements, from basic support like medication reminders and household tasks to comprehensive assistance with daily living activities, including personal care and meal preparation.

Your Role as a Care Support Worker

As a Care Support Worker at Ambient Support, you'll play a vital role in empowering individuals to live fulfilling lives. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing emotional and social support to residents, both in their homes and within the community.
  • Assisting with personal care needs, such as hygiene, if required.
  • Supporting residents with shopping and budgeting.
  • Facilitating connections with friends and family.
  • Contributing to household tasks like cooking, cleaning, and laundry.
  • Accompanying residents on outings for walks, meals, and other activities they enjoy.

Skills and Qualities We Seek

We are looking for compassionate and dedicated individuals who possess:

  • Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities, including autism (while not essential, it is highly valued).
  • A calm and caring demeanor with a positive outlook.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Computer literacy.
  • A valid driver's license is desirable but not mandatory.
