Position Overview:
The Site Manager will report directly to the Contracts Manager and will be tasked with the following responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Establish, organize, and manage site facilities, including offices, canteens, and welfare provisions.
  2. Develop method statements for all temporary site arrangements as required.
  3. Ensure compliance with all construction phase Health and Safety plans related to temporary site setups.
  4. Oversee the installation of roofing systems according to the manufacturer's guidelines and specifications.
  5. Verify that materials and labor are available on-site in line with project timelines to ensure high-quality outcomes.
  6. Implement a safe working system for all roofing tasks and scaffolding, ensuring safety equipment is available when needed.
  7. Communicate any changes in roofing or related areas to the Contract Manager or Senior Structural Engineer, ensuring adherence to agreed variations.
  8. Monitor and evaluate the daily activities of roofing personnel and subcontractors.
  9. Maintain a daily log and produce a photographic report on a weekly basis.
  10. Ensure adherence to Safety Responsibility Statements.

Staff Management:
Direct reports will be managed by the Contract Manager.

Role Requirements:
  • CSCS Certification
  • HNC in Building or equivalent NVQ Level
  • Familiarity with Roofing products
  • CITB SMSTS Certification
  • First Aid Certification
  • Asbestos Awareness Training
  • Work at Height Training
  • Scaffold Awareness Training
  • Valid Driving License

Minimum of 5 years of experience in roofing, encompassing all facets of roof infrastructure, including flat and pitched roofing, as well as specialized roofing systems and site management.
