Sugarman Health & Wellbeing is actively seeking a dedicated Care Support Specialist to join our team, providing assistance to an individual with autism, schizophrenia, and complex behavioral needs.

This individual has a passion for video gaming and enjoys listening to electronic music. He is supported on a 4:1 basis and loves engaging with the community and going for scenic drives. He participates in activities at a local farm, helping with animal care and general upkeep. A visit to a café for coffee and cake is also a favorite pastime. Occasionally, he may exhibit challenging behaviors, requiring staff to assist him in self-regulation.

The ideal candidate will possess enthusiasm and resilience, embracing challenges and striving to support the service user to the best of their ability.

As a vital member of his existing care team, you will find this role both fulfilling and rewarding. This position presents a unique opportunity that is both challenging and exciting.

About the Care Support Specialist Role:

Hourly Rate:
£13 per hour (Enhanced hourly rate on all Bank Holidays)

Location:
Doncaster

Shifts Available:
Days and Nights.

Key Responsibilities for the Care Support Specialist Role:
- Supporting the individual to maximize their independence

Community Engagement:
- Outings to local attractions, parks, and favorite eateries
- Participation in indoor activities such as video gaming
- Encouraging life skills development, including cooking, cleaning, and home maintenance.

Applicant Requirements:
- Willingness to attend Safety Intervention training provided by Sugarman Health and Wellbeing
- Enthusiasm for learning and trying new experiences
- Commitment to embracing the goals set by the service user
- A proactive approach to supporting the service user and the care team
- Full enhanced DBS check
