About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Contract Manager to join our team at Thames Water, responsible for managing a portfolio of operational contracts. The successful candidate will drive performance, develop relationships with suppliers, and identify commercial opportunities and service improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the performance of contractors in accordance with contract requirements and business operational needs.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders and communicate contractual information as required.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for commercial efficiencies across operational activities and contracts.
  • Lead on contract negotiations and implementation of contract variations as required.
  • Provide contract-related issue resolution to supplier disputes or escalations.
  • Ensure processes followed are in line with legislation and company policies, with crucial documents and information stored confidentially.
  • Complete contract close-out, review contracts for extension or renewal, and assist procurement teams for re-procurement.
Requirements
  • Hold a full valid UK driving licence and have own transport.
  • Demonstrate experience in managing operational contracts, either large-scale or a portfolio of contracts.
  • Strong technical understanding of commercial and contract management.
  • Negotiation and dispute resolution experience.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to deliver information and influence internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong MS office skills and ability to work to deadlines.
What We Offer
  • Salary: £52,000 to £54,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
  • 26 days annual leave per year, increasing to 30 with length of service.
  • Car allowance of £4,500 per annum.
  • Contributory pension, with maximum of 12% employee contribution.
