About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and executing legal content development projects and Knowledge initiatives for the practice and industry groups and the Knowledge function, within the context of the Firm's Knowledge services and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Development: Draft, develop, and automate precedents and other legal content to support the Firm's Knowledge services.
- Knowledge Management: Keep abreast of key developments and provide regular updates to ensure the Firm's Knowledge services remain current and effective.
- Collaboration: Work with other Practice Groups and Industry Groups to provide holistic legal, commercial, and industry know-how.
- Training and Development: Identify training needs and leverage firm resources to produce training materials and courses efficiently.
- Client-Facing Initiatives: Provide legal input into client-facing initiatives and coordinate their delivery as required.
- Project Management: Identify and lead content development Knowledge projects and initiatives as relevant and aligned with Knowledge services and strategy.
- Expertise: Maintain legal expertise in the role holder's primary area(s) of practice and support such other practice areas as required.
- Policy and Best Practice: Collaborate with the Senior Manager for Content Development and other Knowledge Specialists to ensure the creation, collection, and maintenance of Knowledge content follows policy and best practice.
- Training and Guidance: Provide legal training and guidance to Content Development Paralegals and Analysts as required.
- Knowledge Systems: Develop a comprehensive understanding of Knowledge systems, services, and other legal technology and tools.
Requirements
- Experience: Experience as a practising lawyer preferably with company law experience (Mergers & Acquisitions or Private Equity).
- Knowledge Management: Experience as a Professional Support Lawyer/Knowledge Lawyer with a sound understanding of Knowledge Management within a law firm environment is preferable.
- Language Skills: Excellent English language skills (verbal and written).
- Communication Skills: Good coaching, counselling, business acumen, and overall communication skills.
- Technical Skills: Experience in or willingness to learn document automation and other legal technology.
