At Baker McKenzie, we are seeking a skilled Content Development Lawyer with Corporate Specialism to join our team in Belfast. As a key member of our Knowledge function, you will play a crucial role in managing and executing legal content development projects and initiatives for our practice and industry groups.

The ideal candidate will have experience as a practising lawyer with company law experience, preferably in Mergers & Acquisitions or Private Equity. You will also have a sound understanding of Knowledge Management within a law firm environment and be able to design and implement Knowledge solutions.

As a Content Development Lawyer, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining high-quality legal content, including current awareness and commercial/industry know-how. You will work closely with our Lead Knowledge Lawyers, Senior Manager for Content Development, and other Knowledge Specialists to ensure that our Knowledge content is accurate, up-to-date, and meets the needs of our lawyers and clients.

  • Manage and execute legal content development projects and initiatives for our practice and industry groups.
  • Create and maintain high-quality legal content, including current awareness and commercial/industry know-how.
  • Work closely with our Lead Knowledge Lawyers, Senior Manager for Content Development, and other Knowledge Specialists to ensure that our Knowledge content is accurate, up-to-date, and meets the needs of our lawyers and clients.
  • Design and implement Knowledge solutions to support our business needs.
  • Maintain legal expertise in company law and support other practice areas as required.Requirements:
    • Experience as a practising lawyer with company law experience, preferably in Mergers & Acquisitions or Private Equity.
    • Sound understanding of Knowledge Management within a law firm environment and ability to design and implement Knowledge solutions.
    • Excellent English language skills (verbal and written).
    • Demonstrated ability to drive results with a sense of urgency in planning and executing work.
    • Good coaching, counselling, business acumen, and overall communication skills.
    • Experience in or willingness to learn document automation and other legal technology.What We Offer:
