About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SHE Manager to join our team at Bakkavor Desserts. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and environmental well-being of our employees and the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive behavioral safety program to promote a culture of safety and prevent accidents.
  • Lead and manage the SHE Advisor to ensure effective performance and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure all health, safety, and environmental policies, procedures, and standards are interpreted, communicated, and implemented across the organization.
  • Design, implement, and monitor site-specific health, safety, and environmental performance metrics and develop action plans to achieve targets.
  • Coordinate SHE training and development programs for managers and employees to ensure competence and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and review site risk assessments and provide guidance to site assessors to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • NEBOSH Certificate or Diploma or equivalent level 5 or 6 qualification in H&S & Environment.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong track record of promoting a culture of safety and preventing accidents.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at a senior level and champion change.
  • Ability to demonstrate compliance with legislation and use problem-solving skills and personal judgment to make optimum business decisions.
