Position: Special Educational Needs Teacher

About the Role:
Hays Specialist Recruitment is collaborating with a reputable educational institution recognized by OFSTED as 'Good'. This establishment focuses on supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges, particularly those at risk of exclusion from traditional educational settings.

Contract Details:
This is a full-time, temporary position with long-term potential.

Key Responsibilities:
We are in search of a committed and enthusiastic SEN Teacher who possesses substantial experience in instructing various subjects up to Key Stage 4. The successful applicant will be tasked with delivering high-quality educational experiences to students with SEMH needs, alongside those with intricate medical conditions and learning disabilities.

Teaching Duties:
- Instruct a diverse range of core subjects, including basic numeracy, literacy, science, and Personal, Social, Health and Economic education (PSHE).
- Design and implement engaging lesson plans and educational materials tailored to meet the academic, social, and emotional requirements of the students.
- Conduct regular assessments of student progress, offering constructive feedback and modifying teaching methods as needed.

Support for Students:
- Create a secure and nurturing learning atmosphere for students with SEMH, complex needs, and medical conditions.
- A Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in secondary education in any subject is essential.
- Previous experience working with students facing SEMH challenges and complex needs is advantageous.
