Pharmacy Assistant

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our Pharmacy Homecare team as a Pharmacy Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing administrative support to our clinical teams.
As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will be responsible for managing patient prescriptions, maintaining databases, and collaborating with clinical teams to ensure timely medication delivery. You will also handle queries from patients and healthcare professionals, maintain accurate records, and assist with financial reports.
We are looking for someone with strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing excellent service. If you are a team player with a positive and flexible approach to work, we encourage you to apply.
Main Responsibilities- Provide clerical support to the Homecare team, including filing, data manipulation, minute taking, and organizing meetings.
- Raise orders against Homecare prescriptions and ensure they reach the Homecare Provider in time for the first delivery.
- Process homecare prescriptions/services and invoices through the JAC pharmacy homecare management system in an accurate and timely manner.
- Monitor and maintain the pharmacy database in relation to Homecare services.
- Undertake any other relevant activities as may be necessary to provide a quality service.
- 4 GCSE passes or equivalent, including English Language and Maths.
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of pharmacy, clinical, or medical terms and issues.
- Previous experience of working in a large organization.
- Experience of using a wide range of IT packages, including Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Experience of data entry, analysis, and report production.
